Technical University of Dresden

The Technical University of Dresden (TU Dresden) is the largest university in Saxony, has one of the widest spectrum of scientific fields in Germany, and is part of the national excellence initiative. It is composed of 14 faculties, gathering around 8600 researchers and 37000 students.

The Centre for production engineering and organisation (CIMTT) is the hub of competences of the faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering of TU Dresden. CIMTT realizes transfer of technology and knowledge between the university and mainly small and medium sized companies (SMEs) primarily in Saxony. CIMTT also works in research projects concerning conditions and support of regional networks, processes of knowledge transfer, knowledge and lifelong learning management, process optimization, and labour organization/organisational design in SMEs. The team is interdisciplinary skilled in the fields of industrial/manufacturing engineering, business economics, labour psychology, sociology, computer science, and geography.

TU Dresden became partner of the KTForce project on the 1st of November 2012, replacing ZTS.
